Psoriasis does not only affect common people! Many celebrities have dealt with the disease while remaining in the public eye, maintaining a positive outlook, and having a successful career. For instance, Kim Kardashian has learned to live with her psoriasis and accept the occasional flares as just part of who she is. Cara Delevigne, who has always been honest about having the disease, hopes to help enlighten others and lessen the stigma for those who share the condition.
Leann Rimes has managed her symptoms with diet, exercise and working with a dermatologist. Singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper, who was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2010 and spent years trying to cover up her flares with strategic makeup and clothing, encourage others to speak up about the condition and seek medical help. Singer Garfunkel once visited the Dead Sea to see if the water would have positive effects on his skin, and Jon Lovitz tried multiple treatments, and often used makeup and clothing to hide any visible flares. Persistence helped Lovitz to find a successful treatment, and after over a decade with psoriasis, he is no longer having flare-ups.
